Arup Nagarer Rupkatha

BAWA produced its first ever “all women cast” drama Arup Nagarer Rupkatha on 28th August 2010. Based on “Mesh o Rakkhosh” by Manoj Mitra, this full-length play involved a cast of 21 and was a successful presentation of a technically challenging script.

Subhomita – Live in Concert:

BAWA organised performance of renowned vocalist Shubhomita at Don Russell Performing Arts Centre on 28th October 2009.

Kabir Suman – Live in Concert:

BAWA organised performance of renowned writer, composer and singer Kabir Suman at Kim Beasley Lecture Theatre, Murdoch University, on 8th February 2009.

Purbayan Chatterjee Concert:

BAWA organised performance of renowned Sitar maestro Purbayan Chatterjee at Kim Beasley Lecture Theatre, Murdoch University, on 9th February 2008.

Durga Puja 2006:

During 2006, BAWA arranged to bring its own Durga idol from Kumartuli, a milestone in the history of Bengali community in WA. We celebrated with overwhelming participation from across the community. Please visit the photo gallery for stills from the event.

Anup Ghoshal Concert:

First BAWA Annual Concert:

BAWA presented its first Annual Concert in 2000. It was a triumph for the small and emerging community, setting high benchmark of organisational skill and quality of presentations. Please visit our Heritage section to have a look at the flyer from the event.
