A Win for Bangla

Bengali has now been included in the LOTE section of library services in WA. This means starting current financial year (2011-2012) a collection of Bengali books and materials will be developed by State Library WA.

The working group formed to take this initiative forward is working with the community and SLWA to develope the collection.

This is a significant milestone for Bengali in WA and we hope to build a good collection of Bengali books in the library system of WA over next few years.
